- Guitarist in a successful, touring rock band at age 14: Paul's early start in music laid the foundation for his diverse and successful career.
- Recording Engineer producing for countless artists including Kenny Loggins, The Beach Boys, The Doobie Brothers, Marvin Gaye, and Diana Ross: His engineering skills and production expertise have shaped the sound of many iconic records.
- Pioneer in the digital audio revolution: Paul was at the forefront of the shift to digital recording, working with Telarc to produce the first all-digitally recorded and mixed pop record and the first SurroundSound CD.
- Sound Innovator for Theme Parks Worldwide: He has recorded and produced over 1,000 projects for Disney, Universal, DreamWorks, and Busch Entertainment, enhancing the audio experience for millions of theme park visitors.
- Founder of Audio By The Bay (ABTB): An audio post-production house that expanded to include a music production arm, serving major entertainment giants like Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, DreamWorks, and Busch Entertainment.

In three short years, Paul built this Company into a significant player and sold out to refocus his passions in the world of sound.

Post-graduation, Tommy embarked on a career in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), specializing in conducting valuations on privately held companies and facilitating their sale when necessary. This role allowed him to develop a keen eye for business opportunities and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
In 1997, Tommy transitioned into the biotech industry, taking on roles in sales management and marketing. Over the years, he developed a unique, people-first leadership style building strong culture and helping others thrive. After nearly three decades in biotech, Tommy retired from the industry in 2024.
Throughout his career, he also demonstrated a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit. He owned or co-owned several businesses across various sectors, including medical devices, restaurants, and broadband internet. These ventures not only showcase his versatility but also his ability to successfully manage and grow businesses in diverse industries.
Now, as he embarks on a new entrepreneurial journey with his awesome and talented partner, Paul Freeman, in the formation of Sim Sherpas, Tommy brings a wealth of experience, a proven track record of success, and a relentless drive for innovation and excellence.
